Paul Johnson FBAcC Featured on the BAcC Cultivating Tradition Podcast

We are enormously proud to share that Paul Johnson, one of our founding teachers and a Fellow of the British Acupuncture Council, has been featured on the BAcC's celebrated Cultivating Tradition podcast.
Paul has been a cornerstone of the City College of Acupuncture since its earliest days, bringing with him decades of clinical experience, profound knowledge of Chinese medicine and an extraordinary gift for inspiring the next generation of practitioners. To those of us who have had the privilege of learning from him or working alongside him, his appearance on this podcast comes as no surprise, but it is a moment of immense pride for the entire CCA community.
About the Episode
In his conversation, Paul reflects on what it truly means to study Chinese medicine, not simply as an academic pursuit, but as a lifelong journey of personal and professional transformation.
As Paul so beautifully puts it:
"If you study Chinese medicine properly, it is going to change the way you feel about everything."
And further:
"It takes time to absorb the medicine, develop practical skills, refine your touch, and learn to understand the person in front of you - not just the condition described in a textbook."
These words will resonate deeply with anyone who has studied at CCA, where this philosophy of slow, deep and transformative learning has always been at the heart of everything we do. Paul's reflection is not just a description of how Chinese medicine is learned, it is a description of who we aspire to be as a college and as a community of practitioners.
